‘There Is Going To Be Solutions Today,’ New Search Going ahead For ‘Hell within the Heartland’ Teens

Carrying out a promising tip, investigators in Oklahoma are trying to find a forgotten root cellar on their own mission to find two teens missing since 1999.

Best buddies Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman, both 16, disappeared in 1999 after Freeman’s home increased in flames together with her parents, Danny and Kathy Freeman, inside. The mother and father have been shot to dying prior to the fire. As the teens are presumed dead, their remains haven’t been found.

The only real surviving suspect, Ronnie Busick, required a plea deal this past year, acknowledging to becoming an accessory towards the girls’ murders. He guaranteed to guide investigators towards the teenagers’ physiques in return for less prison time but unsuccessful to do this. Investigators think that Busick, together with now-dead suspects Phillip Welch II and David Pennington, kidnapped the women after killing Danny and Kathy Freeman over a medication debt. The boys allegedly stored the women alive for any couple of days, torturing and raping them, before ultimately killing them.

Police force received a brand new, apparently credible, tip from Pennington’s relatives, which brought to some Tuesday look for a root cellar, Tulsa World reports. Looking marks the main one with a minimum of 25 conducted to discover the teens.

“It might be our most promising lead,” Gary Stansill, Craig County District Attorney’s Office investigator, told the opening.

At some point, Pennington had told Busick that Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman were hidden inside a root cellar.

Both deceased suspect’s relatives, in addition to former neighbors, told investigators from the “possibility of the cellar type structure” on or near Pennington’s former property in Picher.

Pennington’s former wife “also confirmed the presence of the cellar and they weren’t permitted to visit near it,” Stansill told Tulsa World.

Investigators want two lots in Picher for your cellar on Tuesday. Lauria’s mother Lorene Bible, who lately went through a liver transplant, reaches the dig site, Tulsa outlet KJRH reports.
