The court has ruled that there’s enough probable reason for the stepmother of Gannon Stauch to face trial for that Colorado boy’s murder.

El Paso County Judge Gregory Werner ruled on Thursday there was probable cause against Letecia Stauch, 38, to maneuver forward for trial, Denver outlet KMGH reports. He set a plea hearing for November. 4 when Stauch is anticipated to go in a plea of not liable. She’ll take place without bond until her impending trial.

Stauch faces multiple charges including first-degree murder, child abuse leading to dying, tampering with evidence and tampering having a deceased body for that The month of january killing from the 11-year-old.

Gannon disappeared in Colorado’s El Paso County on Jan. 27, 2020 and the remains were found in Florida two several weeks later in a suitcase with a road crew. In a preliminary hearing earlier this month, prosecutors presented evidence showing they allegedly discovered Gannon’s bloodstream on Stauch’s shoe and they found her DNA on the gun associated with his murder, the Connected Press reports. Evidence seemed to be presented that allegedly shows the stepmother required a vacation to Florida not lengthy after her stepson went missing.

In that preliminary hearing, a Florida officer also testified that Gannon were built with a fractured skull, a gunshot wound in lower left jaw, and stab wounds to left chest and back. He noted the autopsy report stated the boy had 18 sharp pressure injuries in most. He stated that cuts on Gannon’s arms and hands were in line with defensive wounds.

Stauch was the final person to determine the Gannon alive before he disappeared. She initially told government bodies he’d gone missing after departing the household’s the place to find go to a friend then later portrayed herself because the victim of false rumors about her participation in the dissapearance. She was ultimately arrested March 2 in Sc, where she’s from.

Stauch can also be charged with enlisting her then-17-year-old daughter to assist hide Gannon’s murder. She allegedly instructed the teenager to buy carpet cleaner, trash bags, along with other cleaning utility caddy. Stauch allegedly dumped Gannon’s body off Highway 105 in Colorado’s Douglas County before his body was later gone to live in Florida.

Letecia was ruled fit for trial in The month of january of 2021.
