Suspect Identified 34 Years After California Mother Found Stabbed To Dying In Her Own Bed room

Officials in North Park say they’ve finally identified the person accountable for murdering a mom in her own apartment 34 years back. 

Diane Lynn Dahn, 29, was discovered accurate May 2, 1988, whenever a coworker visited her Santee, California, residence after she unsuccessful to appear for work, based on the North Park County Sheriff’s Department. Within this situation, government bodies confirmed the unknown male’s DNA belonged to Warren Robertson, who had been “determined is the donor of formerly known DNA.”

Government bodies stated Robertson, who could have been 27 or 28 during the time of Dahn’s murder, resided in the same apartment complex because the victim in 1988. An intensive analysis revealed Robertson was created in Arkansas but spent the majority of his more youthful existence “in the North Park region.” He would be a local tow trucker who left his family soon after the murder to reside in Lakeside before eventually relocating to Indiana in 1989. 

On November. 25, 1999, Robertson died inside a house fire, based on the sheriff’s department. Investigators were not able to find out whether Robertson and Dahn understood one another but claimed these were both race vehicle enthusiasts who visited the El Cajon Speedway around of Dahn’s murder. 

“The North Park County Sheriff’s Department is dedicated to getting solutions to families regardless of how lengthy ago the crime happened,” stated acting Sheriff Kelly Martinez. “I hope this brings some feeling of peace and healing towards the victim and her family.”

Family people also spoke out concerning the identification of Robertson, including Mark Beyer, the two-year-old found wandering round the apartment complex after his mother’s brutal murder.
