‘She Was Scared of Him,’ Man Strangled Wife Who Requested For Divorce Eventually After Marriage

A Texas man has been discovered responsible for murdering his wife just days after she travelled from Jordan to get along with him within the U.S. 

On Friday, a jury in Tarrant County found Tareq Alkayyali, 39, responsible for killing Wasam Moussa, 23, in 2019, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office stated inside a pr release.

Throughout the trial, Prosecutors Allenna Bangs and Madeline Johnson told the jury that Moussa “was unwilling to marry” Alkayyali within their home country of Jordan. 

She even “asked for any divorce the next day their 2018 wedding.”

There wasn’t any honeymoon and immediately after the pair tied the knot, Moussa came back to her home together with her possessions. 

Eventually, Alkayyali left and came back to his home and job in Arlington, Texas. While during the U . s . States, Alkayyali had cheating having a coworker, the pr release states. 

By May of 2019, Moussa visited Texas to spend time together with her husband.

“During her short visit, the pair contended and spoken about divorce,” the pr release states. “Wasam informed her brother that, during certainly one of their fights, Alkayyali covered her mouth together with his hands. “ 

2 days after she showed up, Alkayyali did searching on his computer for the way to Moussa deported.

The very next day, Moussa was dead.

“He put his give her face, somebody who he loved, and that he viewed because the light went of her eyes,” Bangs told the jury in this year’s trial. “What is really a existence worth?”

Jurors sentenced Alkayyali to 23 years imprisonment just hrs once they found him responsible for murder, the Fort-Worth Star Telegram reports. 

“She visited the U . s . States to try and offer her husband an opportunity to create a existence on her family,” Moussa’s brother, Ahmad Ali, told the Star-Telegram inside a 2019 email. “She was scared of him.”
