Pregnant Mother Of Two Is Fatally Shot Outdoors Mississippi Club Police Describe Her As ‘Innocent Bystander’

Government bodies say an expectant mother of two was an “innocent bystander” when she was shot within the mind outdoors a Mississippi club early Sunday morning.

Jacqueline Brownlee identified the victim to WREG as her pregnant 30-year-old daughter Takila Gross, who was simply enjoying “a little night out” with buddies once the deadly gunfire erupted.

“She was always smiling,” Brownlee stated. “She never met a complete stranger. People always just attached themselves to her.”

Marshall County Sheriff’s Major Kelly McMillen told that multiple people had become right into a physical altercation in a Marshall County nightclub prior to the shooting.

The suspect—who continues to be recognized by government bodies as 38-year-old Andre Norman—“received the worst end” from the fight and then allegedly faced somebody else active in the assault outdoors the club.

“They exchanged words backwards and forwards and also the suspect at that time pulled out…a revolver and fired multiple shots toward they he’d words with,” McMillen stated. “He missed him and struck a harmless bystander.”

Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene by walking right into a wooded area.

Later that morning, the sheriff’s office received multiple calls concerning the suspect resurfacing about 1.5 or 2 miles from the crime scene and that he was taken into child custody.

While Norman was considered a “person of interest” within the situation, McMillen stated investigators could recover the revolver utilized in the shooting and enough information to have a warrant from the 38-year-old. He’s now facing first-degree murder charges.

Norman is presently being held on the $a million bond, WREG reports. He’s scheduled to look in the court on May 2.
