Police Find Little Evidence Supporting Man’s Claims He Wiped out Ex Among Robbery At His Home

A Minnesota man claims he wiped out his ex-girlfriend in self-defense after he discovered her and another burglar in the dark apartment — but investigators aren’t buying his story.

Derek Edward Malevich, 40, was arraigned Friday in Condition District Court on the control of intentional second-degree murder for that Wednesday stabbing of his former girlfriend, Kristen Ann Bicking, 32, the Duluth News Tribune reports.
