Dustin Wakefield used his final moments to plead for his life—before putting themself from a gunman and the 1-year-old boy, based on his family.
“I remember Dustin saying, ‘Please, I’ve got a boy. He’s only a boy.’ And that’s if this all happened,” Karina Olguin told WPLG-TV from the moment a gunman ran as much as their vacationing family in an outside café in South Beach and opened up fire.
Dustin’s uncle, Mike Wakefield, told The Miami Herald that his nephew had traveled to Florida with Olguin as well as their youthful boy, Eli, to go to relatives and it was socializing with family in an Sea Drive restaurant whenever a man ran as much as them.
