A set of Indiana parents happen to be billed with murder for allegedly depriving their 2-month-old boy to dying.
On Tuesday morning, investigators arrested Caylin Opal Marie Monroe, 23, and Jakob Chance Scott, 22, for murder and neglect of the dependent leading to dying, based on a pr release in the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives started investigating the mother and father in Feb after answering their Boonville home in “reference for an unresponsive infant.”
“Upon arrival, medical units determined the newborn was deceased,” the pr release mentioned.
Investigators state that the infant, Silas Scott, died of starvation, WFIE reports. His obituary states the he involved 3 several weeks old which “passed away” in your own home. The chil had three brothers and sisters. The obituary stated the boy, whose complete name was Silas Chance-Kent Scott, died eventually after Love Day. His nickname was “Shuggie Bear.”
Both Scott and Monroe happen to be booked within the Warrick City Jail without any bond. It‘s not obvious should they have lawyers.
“As the analysis ongoing, investigators collected enough information to submit the situation for review through the Warrick County Prosecutor’s Office,” the sheriff’s office pr release states. “The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office was aided through the Warrick County Coroner, Warrick County EMS, the Boonville Fire Department, and also the Indiana Department of kid Services.”
30 days before Silas died, his parents pleaded guilty to adding towards the delinquency of the minor, and having marijuana, court public records acquired by Law&Crime show. A juvenile paternity situation can also be active regarding a couple of Monroe’s children, based on the outlet.
