NXIVM Co-Founder Nancy Salzman States She’s ‘Horrified And Ashamed’ Prior To Being Sentenced To Three.five years

Nancy Salzman, the co-founding father of the disgraced self-help group NXIVM, continues to be sentenced to 3 and half years imprisonment.

The 66-year-old former president from the group, who came into existence referred to as “Prefect” by people, pleaded guilty in 2019 to some racketeering charge for stealing private information from the group’s critics and hacking to their email options from 2003 to 2008. She also accepted to trying to alter footage and records as a result of suit from the organization.

Salzman apologized in Brooklyn federal court on Wednesday just before her sentencing on her allegiance with former NXIVM leader Keith Raniere.

Yesterday Salzman’s sentencing, her attorneys David Stern and Robert A. Soloway attempted to color her among Raniere’s many victims, claiming that they “has been fooled, controlled, humiliated, and eventually brought to take part in criminal conduct by an egotistical, self-important, sex fiend.”

Some former NXIVM people are celebrating the sentence.

Sarah Edmondson, an old NXIVM recruiter who later grew to become a vocal opponent from the group, told Salzman via a video statement that she’s “not sure you’ll ever know how your lies and faulty teachings affected me yet others.” 

The previous DOS survivor added, “I have desires you where I’m being punished on your part for something trivial and that i can’t speak up for anxiety about public shaming.”

Salzman’s daughter, former NXIVM recruiter Lauren Salzman, seemed to be contained in the courtroom. Lauren was sentenced to probation in This summer after also pleading guilty to racketeering charges and acknowledging to keeping a slave limited to some room for a long time.

The elder Salzman isn’t the only person in NXIVM to become sentenced to prison. Raniere was charged for racketeering, sex trafficking, along with other charges in 2019. He was sentenced to 120 years in 2020. Allison Mack, another former high-ranking member, was sentenced to 3 years in June.
