Man Charged With Murder Of Missing Or Lady, But Records Indicate More Might Be Involved

Government bodies believe a guy charged with the murder of the missing lady in Or might have had help, jail records suggest.

Gustavo Ochoa-Valadez, 35, was arrested on Sept. 3 for that murder of 42-year-old Tonna Davis, based on the Salem Reporter. Davis was last seen on March 17, 2021, in the Days Inn by Wyndham Black Bear in Salem, Or.

Charges against Ochoa-Valadez include two counts of second-degree murder, two kidnapping charges, two charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping, one count of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, and three charges from the illegal utilization of ammunition, based on jail records.

Within the condition of Or, an individual billed with criminal conspiracy “agrees with a number of persons to take part in or make the performance” of the crime, based on condition law provisions, indicating that government bodies believe several people was involved with Davis’ dying.

Davis, who also passes Tonna Marie Purnell, hasn’t yet been found, based on Crime Stoppers of Or.

Investigators in the Salem Police Department believe Davis was murdered on March 29 and it was already dead when she was reported missing on April 7, based on the Salem Reporter.

While government bodies haven’t yet released why they feel Davis is dead, a Facebook page dedicated to the missing lady acknowledged claims last May that she’d been shot to dying.

“Her personal Facebook got attention when many buddies beginning [sic] posting ‘RIP,’ gone too early. Freely saying he was shot and gone,” the publish read. “Rumor[s] of her being wiped out are extremely consistent locally. It worries many of us which are missing her. We must find her!”

Investigators suspect that Ochoa-Valadez kidnapped Davis using the aim of physically harming her and the man was “a participant within the crime,” based on the Reporter. He’s also charged with using or threatening using a gun against Davis and 2 others.

Records don’t show every other arrests in link with Davis’ disappearance.

“My fear is the fact that because she’s a lady having a past and it was presently trying to get away from the life-style she is at, she’ll be overlooked and ignored,” the Facebook publish ongoing. “The more it goes without any attention, the less chance we’ve to find her. So please consider discussing this, we’re fearing the worst.”

Tonna’s cousin, Mickey Davis, told The Statesman Journal that though he resided in Washington, the 2 remained in regular contact.

“It came me as pretty odd,” stated Mickey Davis. “I’ve stored in contact with her consistently. … I message her constantly. That’s what came a warning sign was on her behalf birthday, she didn’t respond back.”

Buddies, like Tonya Spangler, didn’t learn about Davis’ disappearance until days after she vanished, based on the Statesman Journal.

“By time I acquired wind from it, it had been already six days of her being missing, and that i felt like if it is been six days and nothing’s been happening, then I have to part of and make certain tips over,” Spangler told the Salem-based newspaper. “I just seem like it’s been a lot time already.
