The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Jerry Rosado on Friday after investigators say they could match DNA available at the crime scene towards the now 62-year-old through genetic genealogy.
“Countless police force professionals and prosecutors have labored on resolving this situation during the last  many their collective dedicated effort, with the enhancements in DNA Technology and Genetic Genealogy Analysis, has brought for this lengthy past due arrest,” Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland stated while announcing the arrest.
Rosado, a homeowner of Millville, has become facing charges of second-degree sexual assault. Government bodies have stated additional expenditure is possible because the analysis continues.

Her body is discovered close to the dumpsters behind a Wildwood restaurant on Sunday, May 27, 1990, NJ.com reports. An autopsy would later determine that Negersmith have been sexually assaulted.
