Juvenile Suspect Arrested In 10-Year-Old Wisconsin Girl’s Dying

A juvenile suspect continues to be arrested within the killing of the 10-year-girl whose body switched in a wooded area in Wisconsin hrs after she disappeared over the past weekend.

An unknown minor was taken into police child custody Tuesday within the dying of Lily Peters, Chippewa Falls Police Department announced. The juvenile suspect’s name hasn’t been formally released, however, police stated Peters’ alleged killer understood the slain 4th grader.

Peters’ body was found near a wooded footpath, next to a brewery parking area, in Chippewa Falls on Sunday. The harsh discovery is made following a comprehensive search by investigators, who deployed police dogs and drones, in frantic efforts to discover the youthful girl. 

“The suspect wasn’t a complete stranger,” Chippewa Falls Police Chief Matthew Kelm told reporters in a press conference on Monday evening. “The suspect was recognized to the victim.
