An Idaho judge joined pleas of not liable for Lori Vallow after she was quietly in the court when requested to go in a plea regarding the her children’s deaths.
Vallow, 48, made an appearance in the court on Tuesday where District Judge Steven Boyce requested her to go in pleas for first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder charges regarding the the deaths of her children Tylee Ryan, 16, and Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7.
She stated nothing and for that reason, Boyce joined pleas of not liable on her, KIFI reports.
The children’s remains were found in 2020 with an Idaho property owned by Vallow’s husband Chad Daybell, who also faces first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder charges within the situation.
Boyce intends to hold both Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell’s trials in the Ada County Courthouse in Boise. Both were in the courthouse for separate proceedings.
Tuesday marks a progression within their trials, and also the court appearances come just days after it was announced that Vallow continues to be restored to competency. Vallow have been undergoing treatment inside a mental health facility after she was declared psychologically unfit to face trial in May of 2021. Prosecutors had initially opposed the judge’s related decision to remain the situation, but opted to withdraw their objections after further reviewing Vallow’s mental report and “corresponding data” through the state’s own expert, based on a court filing formerly acquired by Archiweekend.com. Her treatment was extended in August, and also the trial was further remained consequently. The stay was lifted on April 11.
Daybell joined his pleas of not liable several weeks ago.
