Husband Of Teacher Wiped out In Uvalde School Shooting Dies Of Cardiac Arrest After Visiting Memorial

The husband of the teacher who had been hailed like a hero within this week’s Uvalde, Texas school shooting has died from cardiac arrest, his family states.

Joe Garcia, 50, the husband of Robb Grade School teacher Irma Garcia, 46, died from cardiac arrest on Thursday, his family told Fox 26 Houston news. His passing comes just 2 days after his wife was wiped out within the Uvalde mass shooting that left 19 grade school students, his wife and the other teacher dead.

Irma Garcia was shot on Tuesday by 18-year-old alleged shooter Salvador Ramos. She allegedly attempted to safeguard her 4th-grade students with what was the country’s deadliest shooting because the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.

Following the tragedy, Irma and fellow teacher Avoi Mirales were hailed as heroes.

News of Joe Garcia’s passing was confirmed inside a tweet by Irma’s nephew John Martinez on Thursday mid-day.

“EXTREMELY heartbreaking and are available with deep sorrow to state that my Tia Irma’s husband Joe Garcia has died because of grief,” Martinez published. “I truly am baffled for words for the way many of us are feeling, PLEASE PRAY For The FAMILY, God have whim upon us, this isn’t easy.”

On Thursday, Martinez spoken with the Detroit Free Press, explaining that Joe Garcia endured cardiac arrest after coming back in the school’s memorial.

“What happened was my Uncle Joe visited go leave flowers in my Tia Irma, his wife, and whenever she got back, he sitting lower in the dining table together with his whole family, after three minutes, he just fell over,” stated Martinez. “I’m told my mother was giving him chest compressions. It happened around 10:00.”

The couple’s nephew also produced a GoFundMe page soon after Irma’s dying, wishing to obtain $30,000 with respect to the Garcias, who bid farewell to four children.

Donations had passed $350,000 by Thursday mid-day.

Joe and Irma Garcia were married for twenty-four years, based on the Houston outlet. Per ABC News, the pair have been about to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

A glance at Irma’s school profile provides a peek at the existence she distributed to her husband.

“I like to BBQ with my hubby, pay attention to music, and take country cruises to Concan,” it states around the school’s website. “I have my oldest Cristian, boy, [sic] finishing Marine bootcamp and the other boy, Jose, attending Texas Condition College. My oldest daughter, Lyliana, is a sophomore in senior high school, and my youngest, Alysandra, is a seventh grader this season.”

John Martinez noted on Twitter that the couple’s children were ages 23, 19, 15 and 14.

Martinez states Irma and Joe were senior high school sweethearts.

“My Tio Joe works extra hrs just to maintain his family,” Martinez told the Press. “They certainly are a true American family.”

Tuesday’s mass shooting leaves the planet in shock after suspected shooter Ramos joined the grade school, locked themself in Garcia and Mirales’ 4th grade classroom, and opened up fire, based on ABC News. Ramos allegedly introduced two AR-15-style rifles, one of these police believe he utilized in the massacre, just days after his recent 18th birthday.

The suspect died following a U.S. Border Patrol team stormed the classroom and shot Ramos dead.
