Hulu’s ‘Candy’ Shows How Gloria Gore’s Killing Divided Texas Suburb

Following a mother and wife was brutally hacked 41 occasions by having an ax by her church friend, the city in her own Texas suburb, Wylie, was torn.

Gloria Gore’s 1980 murder is portrayed in Hulu’s new series “Candy,” a 5-night event that stars Melanie Lynskey as Gore and Jessica Biel as Gore’s friend Chocolate Montgomery.

Montgomery and Gore, both 30, grew to become buddies while singing within the same church choir together however their friendship was not even close to perfect. 

Montgomery’s clean, cookie-cutter existence started to put on on her behalf, and she or he grew to become more and more tired of her marriage. The city, even decades later, continues to be damaged through the tragedy, the Dallas Morning News reported this year. 

The jury ultimately believed Chocolate, however: They found innocent her several weeks after Gloria was wiped out. Chocolate left the condition and it has stored a minimal profile since.
