Ex-Food Network Contestant Required Stand It Own Defense At Murder Trial Of Promote Child

An old Food Network show contestant required the stand in their defense during her trial, and today a jury determines if she wiped out her promote child.

Ariel Robinson, 30, faces homicide by child abuse for that 2021 dying of her promote child, 3-year-old Victoria “Tori” Rose Cruz.

Her trial started on Monday and, during the period of a few days, prosecutors outlined how she allegedly beat the toddler to dying inside her Sc home, FOX Carolina reports. 

But Robinson, who won Season 20 from the Food Network show “Worst Cooks In The Usa,” denied individuals allegations when she required the stand it her town defense. 

While crying, she claimed that Tori was “a perfect child” and her “mini-me,” which her husband, 35-year-old Jerry “Austin” Robinson, was laying as he told law enforcement that they had beat the toddler. She testified he, actually, has “one from the scariest kinds of anger issues.”

Her husband has pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting homicide by child abuse, but initially faced exactly the same charges as his wife.

During closing arguments, Deputy Solicitor Christy Sustakovich told the jury the evidence against Ariel Robinson is “overwhelming.”

“The only individual who you’ve seen being cruel to Tori is that this defendant,” Sustakovich stated.

Meanwhile, Ariel’s attorney, Bill Bouton, claimed that Jerry Robinson “cut a deal” at a lower price time in jail and the man has credibility issues, based on Fox Carolina. Jerry Robinson faces 10-twenty years in jail.

Jurors started their deliberations on Thursday.

Ariel, a former junior high school teacher along with a local comedian, was the champion of Season 20 the meals Network’s lengthy-running “Worst Cooks In The Usa,” featuring amateur chefs with poor cooking skills subjected to a culinary bootcamp competition. As the champion of the $25,000 grand prize, she asserted that the cash would go towards her family and three adopted children, local outlet WYFF reported. 

The Meals Network pulled her season from streaming platforms following the arrest from the couple. Ariel Robinson’s teaching license was suspended through the Sc Board of your practice after her arrest too.
