A Boston man charged with kidnapping and raping an intoxicated youthful lady in 2019 has requested the court to buy his release from prison.
Lawyers for Victor M. Pena, 41, filed a motion a week ago to compel his release in the Suffolk County House of Correction at South Bay, when they have been held without bail since 2019, based on the Boston Globe and Boston Herald. It’s Pena’s second motion for medical release filed in 2022: His lawyer also filed a motion for his release in The month of january citing the Covid-19 pandemic cheap his trial continues to be frequently delayed, based on the Globe.
This time around, his lawyers told a legal court Pena had tumors requiring treatment.
Pena was arrested on Jan 22., 2019 after police forced their distance to his locked Bunker Hill apartment, the Herald reported, and located a 23-year-old lady who was simply reported missing after she created a bar on Jan. 19, CBS News reported. Police had circulated photos of the person of great interest within the situation and neighbors apparently identified the person as Pena, according to Boston Magazine.
