Aly Raisman Connects With Other People Mistreated By Doctors In New Special, Including Victims Of Johnnie Barto

Aly Raisman, who lately spoke out against the the FBI for mishandling the Ray Nassar analysis, continues to be connecting with survivors who have been mistreated by other doctors on her behalf road to healing.

A few of these conversations are incorporated in “Aly Raisman: Darkness to Light,” which premieres on Friday, Sept. 24 at 8p/7c on Lifetime. The three-hour special follows the athlete as she along with other survivors of abuse as a result of physicians.

The special features survivors in the Ohio Condition abuse scandal along with the Dr. Johnnie Barto situation, one among the biggest child sexual abuse cases in the united states. 

Barto, an old Pennsylvania doctor was sentenced to a minimum of 79 years imprisonment in 2019 for sexually assaulting 31 children, NBC Philadelphia reported in 2019. The majority of the victims were patients. The documentary details the way the town supported and defended him once the accusations been revealed.

“Everybody loved him, he could don’ wrong,” Erika Brosig, who had been mistreated by Barto when she was 13, states in “Aly Raisman: Darkness to Light.” 

At Barto’s sentencing, Brosig testified that they grieves for “the childhood I ought to have experienced,” NBC Philadelphia reported in 2019.

She along with other victims from the physician discuss their tales to Raisman in order to heal like a group. 

Raisman also meets track of Michael DiSabato, among the pivotal figures within the Ohio Condition scandal. She thanks him for just as one advocate for male survivors of sexual assault. 

DiSabato introduced forward claims about Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, in 2018, the Connected Press reported this past year. He reported the physician groped him throughout an exam as he would be a wrestler. He was among the first accusers.

DiSabato informs the producers from the series it required him researching the 2016 arrest of Nassar to understand he have been mistreated.
