Actor Kaalan Master, 27, was discovered guilty on Monday of sexually assaulting multiple underage women and ladies dating back 2013.
The jury found the “SuperFly” actor guilty on three counts of forcible rape, one count of assault to commit dental copulation, two counts of statutory rape and 2 counts of rape by intoxication, USA Today reported. His convictions are based on seven victims: three minors and 4 adult women.
Master was found innocent of one count of digital transmission and two counts of forcible rape introduced with respect to three other alleged victims, La NBC affiliate KNBC reported.
Based on KNBC, Deputy Da Yasmin Fardghassemi told the Van Nuys, California jury the situation involved ladies who didn’t know each other.
“The single factor that unites many of these women may be the defendant Kaalan Master,” she stated in the court, per KNBC.
“You’re likely to visit a negative side of him,” she ongoing. “Once they stated ‘Stop,’ he did not care.”
Walker’s lawyer, Andrew Flier stated his client have been “portrayed like a monster.”
“The pattern of Mr. Master would be to make false promises plus they got it,” Flier stated in the court, KNBC reported. “Every one of these women under your own accord made their very own decisions.”
“He did not pressure them,” Flier added. “It’s payback to Mr. Master and we are not likely to allow that to happen.”
Flier told USA Today in an announcement on Tuesday that Walker “maintains his innocence” and the man “didn’t get a fair trial, as numerous important issues were excluded through the Court.”
Master was arrested on Sept. 11, 2018 for a number of sexual assaults. Based on police, “aspiring models” have been contacted by Master via social networking asking about doing professional use him. Each one of the victims reported that Master had subsequently sexually assaulted them, based on LAPD at that time.
Master was arraigned on nine legal sexual assault charges in October 2018, and bond was set in excess of a $a million bail. He was subsequently released on bond, but was taken into child custody on Monday following the verdict, based on KNBC. He faces a possible existence sentence.
Master is scheduled to look in the court on May 27 for any trial on aggravating factors within the cases, as reported by USA Today.
