‘A Destroyer of Worlds’: Anthony Todt In prison for Killing Family, Will get Life 

Anthony Todt assists the remainder of his existence in jail following a jury made the decision he accounts for killing his entire family in Florida.

A jury found Todt, 46, responsible for four counts of first-degree murder and something count of animal cruelty on Thursday for that December of 2019 murders of his wife Megan, 42, as well as their children Alek, 13, Tyler, 11, and Zoe, 4, with their pet dog, Breezy, Florida outlet WESH 2 reports.

“A jury has unanimously determined after hearing evidence that you simply, Anthony John Todt, really are a destroyer of worlds,” Circuit Judge Keith A. Carsten told the disgraced father, based on WESH 2.

Carsten gave him existence imprisonment without the potential of parole for that killings of his family and something year in city jail for that murder from the pet dog. Initially, the jury emerged deadlocked on Thursday but through the evening, they could accept the decision, Spectrum News 13 in Orlando reports.

Before Todt was sentenced, family people from the victims spoke prior to the court.

“It’s been a nightmare for 2 and half years,” Cynthia Copco, Megan’s aunt and also the children’s godmother, stated, based on WESH. “Tony crushed his entire family using this method.”

She known as Megan “the gentlest person” who had been “full of empathy.”

In that hearing, Todt themself was up and spoke before his lawyer told him to sit down lower.

“This can be a personal catastrophe in everybody’s existence including, myself,” the now-charged killer stated. “I maintain my innocence.”

Todt had been under analysis through the FBI and agents using the U.S. Department of Health insurance and Human Services for healthcare fraud when his family was discovered dead. Todt, who ran their own physical rehabilitation practice with Megan, allegedly billed insurance providers for physical rehabilitation services he never performed, Click Orlando reported.

Their practice, Family Physical Rehabilitation in Colchester, Connecticut, was raided per month prior to the murders and Todt allegedly accepted to falsely billing State medicaid programs, saying neither his wife nor his employees were conscious of the fraud, CNN reported. An eviction notice had also lately been filed inside a Florida court for that home in which the physiques put together, based on NBC Connecticut.

Throughout the state’s closing statement,  Assistant Condition Attorney Danielle Pinnell told the jury, “Exactly why we’re here today is control. The defendant wanted control,” Spectrum News 13 reports.
